Dissolved and total recoverable metals data is collected and analyzed using the quality control and sampling techniques of USEPA Method 1638, “Determination of Trace Elements in Ambient Waters by Inductively Coupled Plasma – Mass Spectrometry.”  Mercury analyses are conducted by USEPA method 245.7, "Mercury in Water by Cold Vapor Atomic Fluorescence Spectrometry."  Iron, calcium, and magnesium are analyzed by USEPA method 200.7, "Trace Elements in Water, Solids, and Biosolids by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Emission Spectrometry."
