Second Public Review of Pollution Control Standards: June 26 – August 10, 2018 (Extended to August 20, 2018)
The Commission accepted public comments, and technical and scientific studies and data supporting those comments, until August 10, 2018 (Extended to August 20, 2018), to assist in a new review and update of its current Pollution Control Standards for discharges to the Ohio River – 2015 Revision. The purpose of the public comment period is to receive input from interested parties on specific proposed revisions of the standards. ORSANCO is particularly interested in receiving technical and scientific information or data that supports comments on the proposed revisions.

Review Process: Public Hearing and Comments
ORSANCO invited comment on proposed revisions to its Pollution Control Standards for Discharges to the Ohio River – 2015 Revision as presented above. A public comment period, hearing, and informational webinars were held to support the Commission’s receipt of public comments. The comment period extends from June 26, 2018 through August 10, 2018 (Extended to August 20, 2018) , and all comments must be received by midnight, August 10, 2018 (Extended to August 20, 2018) Instruction on submitting comments below. A hearing was held on July 26, 2018, at 6:00pm (EDT), at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati Airport, 1717 Airport Exchange Blvd., Erlanger, KY, to facilitate oral testimony. A full transcript of the hearing is recorded and available. In addition, two informational webinars were held prior to the hearing, on July 12, 2018, at 3:00pm (EDT), and July 19, 2018, at 6:00pm (EDT). These webinars are for the purpose of explaining the proposed revisions and review process. Thus, while questions on the proposal or process will be addressed during the webinars, they are not for the purpose of accepting oral comments.
