Description and Primary Responsibilities:
-The Research Committee is comprised of nine members or less, and includes at least two Commissioners.
-The Committee assesses and articulates current and future needs for research, the results of which will advance scientific understanding of the Ohio River, its tributaries and water quality dependent ecosystems.
-The Committee will also assess program and project opportunities, including efforts involving the Commission as a direct participant or coordinator, and serve as a broker of consortia to carry out research efforts.
-The Committee reports its findings and recommendations to the Commission for action.
