The Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) is requesting water quality data from outside sources to ensure a more comprehensive water quality assessment of the Ohio River. The data will be used to generate a biennial report, required by Section 305 (b) of the Clean Water Act, which characterizes water quality conditions in the Ohio River and assesses the degree to which the Ohio River supports each of its four designated uses:
- Warm water aquatic life
- Public water supply
- Contact recreation
- Fish consumption
What type of data can be submitted?
- Water quality data from the Ohio River
- Quality assured data
- To determine the usefulness of your data in writing our report, we will need information about the “who, what, where, when, why, and how” associated with your data. If you have a Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan for your data, please submit a copy of that plan with your data.
- Data collected from the Ohio River during 2004 - 2007
This information is requested by June 30, 2007. Please send the data to Beth McGuire. Electronic submission is preferred; however, if this is not possible, data can be mailed using the address provided.
