Environmental Educator

Description

The Foundation for Ohio River Education (FORE) is seeking candidates to help conduct environmental education programs. FORE is the non-profit partner of ORSANCO (Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission). The primary focus of the position will be to lead and co-lead education programs. Programs pertain to environmental and biological topics such as macroinvertebrates, water quality, stream assessments, fish ecology, and plankton. Environmental Educators work in direct partnership with other educators and under supervision of ORSANCO’s Environmental Education and Outreach Coordinator.

Previous environmental education experience and environmental science or biological education preferred.

Hours vary in frequency based on the type and number of programs scheduled, which has seasonal flux. Educators are hired throughout the year as needed.

Requirements

Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid/CPR certification.
