Rally the River for the ORSANCO Ohio River Sweep End-of-Season Cleanup

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, communities across the Ohio River Basin will come together for the Ohio River Sweep End-of-Season Cleanup — a single coordinated day of action to protect the river we all depend on. This large-scale Ohio River Sweep will span multiple sites across the basin, bringing volunteers together for one final push to close out the season strong. Whether you lead a cleanup site or show up to volunteer, every hand helps keep the Ohio River healthy for the 30 million people who call this basin home.
Become a Site Coordinator
We’re looking for Site Coordinators to help us host cleanup locations all along the river and its tributaries. A cleanup site can be five people or as many as you like — every site and every volunteer makes a difference. ORSANCO provides registration, cleanup supplies, planning resources, promotion, and a commemorative t-shirt for each volunteer. You bring your volunteers, your local knowledge, and your love for the Ohio River. Never hosted a cleanup before? Don’t worry, our team is here to support you every step of the way.

Site Coordinators: Please note that for the End-of-Season Cleanup on 10/24, we will be using a separate supply request form. DO NOT use the existing form on the site to register your event and order supplies. Sign up to host here, and you will receive additional directions.

New cleanup locations are being added as Site Coordinators come on board, so check back often if you don’t see one near you yet — or better yet, become a Site Coordinator and start one yourself.
