ORSANCO has conducted extensive multimedia sampling for dioxin through the Ohio River Watershed Pollutant Reduction Program. Levels of dioxin in ambient water and bottom sediments have been quantified at numerous sites along the Ohio River and its tributaries. Concentrations of dioxin in ambient air have also been monitored at 20 locations near the Ohio River.
