Special committees, such as the Bylaws Committee, will have duties and functions assigned to them as created. These committees may be appointed by the Chairman as deemed necessary or as the Commission may, from time to time, direct. Members of special committees may be Commissioners, their proxies, or others (when appropriate).
The Committee is comprised of companies or agencies which operate water treatment plants. It supplies the Commission with data as a part of a basinwide water quality monitoring system, and advises and provides input to the Commission on matters relating to water treatment.
A Public Information Advisory Committee, composed of citizens residing in the Compact states, provides advice to the Commission on Commission programs. The Chairman annually appoints members of this committee.
